As with other types of related party transactions the terms and conditions between related parties should be in accordance with those that would be agreed upon by unrelated parties in similar circumstances. \nPricing of financial transactions is a complex area of transfer pricing and tax authorities see this area as one of substantial potential Transfer Pricing risks\, which may lead to expensive and time-consuming audits and potential double taxation\, ultimately resulting in significant unanticipated tax exposure for taxpayers. \nThis seminar has been specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals from various backgrounds who wish to obtain in depth understanding on the pricing of related party debt\, guarantee fees\, cash pooling arrangements and other financial instruments. \nThe seminar aims to provide an interpretation of the recommendations included in the OECD TP Guidelines with respect to intra-group financing and guidance\, including practical examples\, on the application of methodologies proposed for determining the arm’s length remuneration in related party financing arrangements. DESCRIPTION:12 June 2024 \n\nCPD hours: 7 \nAim\nThe seminar intends to cover in-depth the principles of two very important IFRSs\, the Revenue from Contracts with Customers and Leases (IFRS 15 and IFRS 16).\nRevenue is one of the most debatable topics in financial reporting. IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers is effective from 1 January 2018 and mainly replaces IAS 18 Revenue Recognition and IAS 11 Construction Contracts.\nIn addition\, the International Accounting Standard Board has issued a new standard on leases\, IFRS 16 “Leases”. The effective date of the standard is 1 January 2019.\nIFRS 16 is a major change of the way the entities account for leases because it removes the current lessee accounting treatment for operating and finance leases.
